The Message of the Kingdom

Matthew 24:14 NKJV

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

The Gospel of Christ

Romans 1:16–17 NKJV

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”

The Gospel of the Kingdom

Matthew 6:33 NKJV

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Government, Not a Religion

Isaiah 9:6–7 NKJV

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

Righteousness Is the Standard

Matthew 5:20 · Hebrews 1:8 NKJV

For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. But to the Son He says: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.”

The Nature of the Kingdom

Romans 14:17 · Luke 17:20–21 NKJV

For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”

Pray the Kingdom Comes

Matthew 6:9–10 · Luke 12:32 NKJV

In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Made for Dominion

Genesis 1:26 NKJV

Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

Entering the Kingdom

Acts 14:22 · John 3:3, 5 NKJV

Strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and saying, “We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.”

Sons of God

Romans 8:19 · Romans 8:14 · Matthew 6:9 NKJV

For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.
